A real-life version of Roald Dahl’s fictional Snozzcumber is available from Morrisons from today for 41p
Morrisons and other supermarkets are selling the snozzcumbers for a trial period to coincide with Dahl’s 100th birthday on Tuesday, as well as the recent release of the Steven Spielberg film version of The BFG, and will be making a donation to Dahl’s The Marvellous Children’s Charity for sick youngsters.
It is hoped that the fruit – a giant, misshapen version of a normal cucumber – will encourage otherwise reluctant children to eat their greens and increase donations to the Roland Dahl Charity funds
It's also good value for adults - 16" long and 21ozs for 41p

So now I always buy two, you can always eat one of them."

Otherwise reluctant children? They are supposed to taste disgusting in the books, cant see already reluctant children trying a vegetable already described as disgusting.

Excellent, more mouldy veg from Morrisons. Gone right down hill. Was in Morrisons last year, standing next to a child who was jumping up and down excitedly, shouting 'mouldy Morrisons, mouldy Morrisons!' to her mum. They were engaged in a game of find the mouldy fruit and veg!
