On a personal note I wouldn't touch a 500gb ps4, the HDD is way too small when the OS takes up a chunk of it and your cods etc clock in at over 50gb. 1tb min is required from personal experience. Good price tho.

It depends on how many games you have on the go... If you just buy single / local multiplayer games and trade them in, 500GB is plenty but if you have a long-standing PS Plus subscription, digital purchases and like your library to be available at all times (like me), a 2TB USB drive can be found for £50-60.
Stick the 500GB in the caddy for this & that :smiley:

I really don't get the timing of the Slim & Pro. Why release a new console a month or two before launching a next gen console? Surely they want people to buy the Pro and there's little point in buying both. I don't get it.

The pro is just a stop gap, no way is Sony planing the pro for the long term to compete with Microsoft's Scorpio, it will ether have a hardware revamp or we may even get a ps5 release early 2018.

If they are the same price, why buy the older one? The new design is smaller, quieter and uses less power. The only reason not to buy the new design (if the price is equal) is because you need an optical port.
