Can't record as it has no storage for the recording to go. The on demand duration varies massively depending on programme, some things can be on for weeks/months, while catch up programmes typically limited to days...

No record option but looks like all the top kids shows are available on demand going back to series 1.

I'm sure I'm the only person not to know this but I have Now TV on my smart telly - can I buy these and use the pass on that, but not use the box?
Sorry if it's a silly question

Just create an account and log in through your tv.

You could as you just get a voucher code in the box which you add to your account, but not sure why you would as the kids pass is only 2.99 a month, so you would be paying more than that to have a box you don't want?

Nah, not on about that. I was talking about the voting, if you read the comments they seem to relate to it being a **** deal. So my comment was only about the difference in the voting, not your kind efforts in sharing the post. Thanks pal.

Does this answer my question? What I was asking was can I buy one of these boxes and just use the 4 month pass and not the box

Hiya, I they are saying that there is no need to buy anything, you can watch for free through your TV. I think? Hope this helps, that's my understanding anyway, so try it and maybe save £15?

However the black box is decently fast and plex can be used on it, might be better to use than the tv software

if you don't need the box it's only £2.99 a month, they may also as well let you do a free trial so do this before activating the voucher. With the other passes it's cheaper to buy a box with a pass and then chuck the box, although it does come with 2 AAA duracell batteries!

Why chuck it away, it sells on eBay for £10 (newer black one £15) as people hack them with Plex...

There are a lot of deals for Now TV boxes + pass which usually work out at being cheaper than buying just the pass (which is why I have a cupboard full of unused Now TV boxes!). This one doesn't seem like much of a deal to me.

now tv have only released a TV app on LG and Samsung TVs so far, not Sony. You'll need some kind of supported device to watch now tv on your TV!

For those who dont know, if you have a supported Android mobile device - Tablet or phone (might work on apple devices too), you can download and install the Now TV app onto them and either view it on your mobile device or "cast" to a supported smart TV. Means you can send the program to the supported TV if you have the TV connected to the internet and set up correctly.
Check if its supported here.
I've a Samsung Galaxy S7e phone (works on/ with my Samsung Note 3 and the wife and kids Galaxy tablets too) and I cast the show from my phone to my Sony KDX9005C android powered smart TV. Syncs perfectly. Check if your TV supports it, or might need a software update.
Might need to install Chromecast App to cast to TV if the devices dont have that ability already installed, but viewing on a mobile device just needs a decent WIFI or 4g connection and will adjust its quality to suit. Limited to 4 devices per account, but can remove and swap them over. Can view out and about too, like in a hotel if you can get the WIFI/ data connection.
We do it when one family member wants to watch something on the main TV. You can run upto 4 of the same or different sessions (pick any movies, entertainment, sport or Kids TV shows depending on which package you're signed up to) at a time. We use it on family outings when staying in a hotel or with family.
Hopefully helps someone.
