Very good deal, shame I don't have a DS :disappointed:
For a new buyer, what would you guys recommend between 2DS, N3DS and N3DS XL?

Regarding your question:
It depends on what you are looking to play. Personally I would just stick with the standard 3DSXL and get a Circle Pad pro if you were going to play games which require the second stick (Monster Hunter for example).
I love my 'New' 3DSXL but for someone just buying into a 3DS just stick with the normal. Unless you want to play Xenoblade of course... Then buy the 'New' one.

I agree as long as you can get the standard 3DS XL for a decent price.
I went for the new one as the price difference was not massive.

Isn't the 3D a lot better on the new one however?

Personally I NEVER use the 3D on the 3DS lol. I find the whole 3D thing a massive gimmick and pretty pointless.
I only invested in the 'New' 3DS because I am a Nintendo fan and ti has a faster processor... which after a while you don't really notice anyway lol.
Like Hornet said, if there's only a tenner or so better the original 3DSXL or the 'New' One then you may as well buy the new one. But if there is a significant amount saved then just buy the original one.
Make sure you buy an XL either way - They are superior in build quality and bigger is better lol.

Thanks for letting me know! If nothing pops up on here I may wait towards Black Friday and try and get a New XL at a good price. Do you reckon it's worth picking up one of these codes and saving it or just buying the cartridge when I have a console?

New 3ds personally as the extra thumb stick is great for monster hunter

Well the game has gone for a lot cheaper as a code in the past on CD Keys, although those days seem to be gone now. Personally I would get it on cartridge nearer the time, but then, something like MArio KArt might be worth having on the Machine if you're going to play it a lot. The only games I really have to have on the machine are monster hunter as they are going to get hundreds of hours of Gameplay and theres no point in having to keep switching cartridges.
As for which machine, it depends on how much you want to spend, I love the New 3DS Xl, the 3d is far better than the older 3ds, the second stick is very useful for MH and the menus etc are a lot faster so it's a good update from the 3DS, but if you're just going to play it occasionally and not use the 3d then the 3DS XL is fine

New 3DS. The 2DS is a low budget and low quality 3DS, basically.

Regular or XL?

That depends. Do you prefer gaming on a bigger screen? Then the XL is the one to go for. But the normal sized one isn't too small either and you can attach cool faceplates like the one below.
I don't know why this one goes for so much, I got it abroad for only 2.99€.
Btw, I compared the picture quality of my 2DS to my DS Lite and the DS Lite looked miles better and crisper/colourful!
