I'm pretty sure he's letting you know the value of this tab. I got it for 80£ a few weeks back when they had a huge tablet discount going on. Good tab, marshmallow out of the box too.

I also want to know this...specifically the armour type, not the flip type, as will be for the kids.

This is quite a new model so I couldn't find loads of cases for it. I bought a decent leather one from Amazon, ACdream Lenovo TAB3 8 Case, Folio Protective Premium Leather Tablet Case.
Great little tablet for the price.

I got a couple of these tablets last month when they were on offer at Argos to replace the kids ageing tablets. I got these cases for them: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B016TQXNQ6 (Bobj for Lenovo Tab 2/3).
I had previously got a Bobj case for an older tablet and they are great, very thick silicon and well designed with ports to allow the sound from speakers to come out at the front etc. Well worth the money.
I've had a couple of problems with the tablets:
1. The Kids Mode allows you specify a time range for when they can use them - eg. 8am to 8pm is the default. It also allows you to specify how long it can be used for eg. 12 hours is the default. I changed this to two hours but then it is impossible to use it (unless using the admin account), a message says they cannot use it as the time is up even though it hasn't been used that day. It seems it has to be equal to the total amount of hours in the time range... must be a bug.
2. The battery life is great, so given (1) I can't get them off them!
Overall a good tablet

Is this tablet suitable for reading magazines?
The somewhat low resolution concerns me a bit...
I remember with the iPad 2 it was not easy to read magazines, then with the iPad 3 (Retina) they were amazing, but tablet was also 10" whereas this Lenovo is 8". Thanks.

Did anyone find any reviews for it, all the ones I found were for an inferior model?

 There are loads of reviews for both this and the black model on the Argos website.

Thanks, I meant a professional review as opposed to an Argos customer!
