Under £200 on this sort of spec seems very reasonable and with SSDs dropping all the time, you could always drop one in later down the line. With 250GB SSDs dropping to around the £50 mark recently, I can only imagine Black Friday deals this year might make upgrading older HDDs to SSDs a lot easier on the pocket (Fingers crossed)

Why don't you just marry 4k?

Wants budget £200 laptop to support 4K output. Moans about intel integrated graphics. It's integrated graphics you muppet, if you're not buying 'old garbage' then why are you banging on about integrated output? You need a better budget to expect to get something with higher end graphics and connections for that anyway!
You're not buying garbage but you're talking it for sure.

I have this machine and paid about the same for it a few months ago. The sound is painful until you use headphones; the buttons for left and right mouse click are also very painful! it’s just one long single bar! It needs a clean install of windows and SSD installing and then you have a good machine. If only I could upgrade the inbuilt speakers, also to note it only has one single memory dim. For the money its ok but its not going to be everyone’s cup of tea. Putting and SSD in is a must but not very easy as you need to pull the whole unit apart to access the drive! Voiding the warranty! Hope this helps others.

Never had a laptop with warning sounds before.
I'll turn it right down if it's that bad

Will most likely just end up buying this until I can find a good upgrade at a reasonable price. XPS 13 or 15 sounds good but not for £1K+ Voted hot thanks for posting.

I am not buying any Intel product until they come with 4k output either from displayport or hdmi 2.0. Still selling old hdmi connection which does not have bandwidth to display 4k.

You'll be looking for the new Kaby Lake 7xxx Intel CPUs which are rolling out now then - they include HDCP 2.2 support and HDMI2, but Display Port remains v1.2.

Intel PCs with DisplayPort can output [email protected] You can get an adapter for about £25 to convert to HDMI 2.0 if needed.
