Cashback offers aren't just about catching people who forget or fail to qualify. They collect user data and help them play games with revenue in certain quarters.

simple maths, sell at £125 you only get £125 sell at £180 and give cash back you now have a chance of getting £180 if only 25% of people don't claim its all profit.

I think businesses are limited on cashback and it is also used to give the discount to this market and try and stem the flow of hardware between regions.

It's an accounting trick they use to pad their sales figures.
The full price counts as revenue and the cashback comes from the marketing budget.

Good machines but have been cheaper.
Please note only 1 pci-e slot on these so usefulness as a PVR server for Kodi etc is reduced.

Agreed, the Celeron processor is a bit underpowered for this kind of thing, so for any serious graphics related computing it's not optimal. personally I use it to host my virtual machines, upgraded the processor and it runs like a champ. Kodi runs on a sideloaded firestick and uses this server as it's media source.

I think so, it's not a complicated thing to do either, just remember to make a copy of all receipts if they ever ask for a hard copy, ( think I just scanned mine in and emailed it off). Either way i'd rather have the £55 in my pocket than in theirs.

Ooh nice! I was just eyeing up a Dell T20 but this'd be smaller and lower power. Dual gigE is also pretty neat even if it is broadcom underneath.

If only these could take 32GB of RAM I'd be upgrading my old kit right away...

Check out homeservershow.com I'm pretty sure these are known to support 32gb unofficially.

Reading through the management speak nonsense, I'm not sure that's really what they're saying, more that it doesn't impact on your normal price like a price reduction would. But then again, with such guff, it's very hard to tell!
Opening post
Has dual NIC's and a ILO card.
Note £124.99 is the cashback price, it's £179.99 before cashback.
The returns procedure is simple enough, I got my refund when they ran this promotion the first time round.
