Just had three delivered from the Curry's Ebay store for the same price with free delivery.
Set them up in about 5 mins for all three and then grouped them on the app and opened my music and clicked cast to group.
I was going to spend £0000s on a Sonos setup but thought i have decent speakers anyway so why bother £60 later and its sorted.

Did this too when they were £15s in Currys. Excellent flexible multi-room set up! Great for streaming but wish I could send any sound source to the group.

well I've got a smorgasbord of speakers. Onkyo (av receiver) in the living room. Harmon kardon sound sticks in the bedroom and bose soundbar in the kitchen. had to get 3.5mm to RCA adapters for the Onkyo but that was £1

agreed! so frustrating, I can't pair CCA to my existing Chromecast on my TV. I have to buy another CCA to plug into my soundar... anyway still cheaper than Sonos, good alternative, have some heat. Who knows, Google might even come up with an update to pair all CC dongles!

what do you mean by any source? different music apps? I've only tried the one associated with my phone (Z2) but it works. eventually I will have a tablet with all my music on but my nexus 7s are too old and too slow now. what apps/programs don't work then?

Don't forget this does have optical out too. Just buy the small 3.5-Optical out. Think they were £1.25 for two.
It goes into the 3.5mm jack, of the Chromecast.

Have five of these in a multiroom set up, working great. Just make sure you don't power the Chromecast from the speaker's USB (unless you can keep it far away). Mine get a lot of interference like that.
I'm thinking of pairing a set of Edifier speakers with this for my living room - will also use an optical in connection for my TV - anyone find anything better and as flexible in that price range? (under 200)
