Seems like a great price for a curved Ultra HD Smart TV with Wifi, Freeview HD. It's not a recognised brand but it is a know brand. Unsure who makes the modules but I guess not anyone can make curved ones, so gotta be a know panel maker too.

Invest? It's just a tv. Buy it, if you don't like it then send it back. If it breaks then send it back. It's not an asset that will appreciate in value over time. It us just a tv. A disposable commodity. If I was looking for a new tv I would be buying this. However I bought a 55 inch seiki 2 weeks ago and it performs better than the previous 2 Toshibas. :smirk:

If you're going to invest in a 4K tv do your research and read the reviews. I've no idea if this model is any cop but so many of these budget 4K's are awful. You could get an amazing HD tv for less than this and it will give you a much better picture than the vast majority of budget 4K's.
I jumped on the 4K bandwagon and bought a higher end model but my advice (not that that's worth owt) is save up your money and wait until the 4K content catches up with demand. HDR is coming.

that's why I put that in the title, only for those who are willing to take the risk. if someone knows how to get information on who makes the panels or the actual tv, there branding may not be a matter.

These are manufactured (assembled) here in the UK by Cello - they're not bad, certainty a few cuts above Vestel

It's very "UN-PC" to criticize Vestel on here ! Some get quite carried away in defence of them
thought Goodman's was Curry's PC World own brand...?

No. I believe a brand called Matsui, or something like that, was Curry's brand. I worked there when I was younger, £2.27 an hour LOL, and I hated it.

Absolutely rubbish. All budget 4k are better than full HD or 1080p. I have tried and seen several budget 4k and all are much better even than posh brands of last generation. 4k is already here.
