I want to be able to play this on PC and Xbox One, am I correct in saying if I choose the digital version through the Microsoft Store I will get both versions but the disk version will only work on Xbox One?

That's fair, I don't usually pre-order games but I know I'll spend a worthwhile amount of time on the multiplayer.

As a side note I'm chatting to Microsoft support about getting the £10 code - the person I'm speaking to is being reluctant to give me the code.

Out of stock on anything digital is laughable, takes them seconds to generate millions of codes, could understand if it was a code printed on a card but as its digital it shouldn't be out of stock. More like Microsoft don't want to give any more £10 codes out

Just rang MS support who said all who have already pre-ordered through MS store and Xbox.com will get £10 credit on there account on day of release.

Does the digital pre-order version include all Gears of War that was on 360 for Xbox One? I know the disc version does.

Digitally Pre-Ordered on my Xbox One on Thursday. (So i'm probably not eligible on that technicality)
Just spoke to live chat and managed to get my £10 discount code.

It was a code for the online store so i used it to buy a £10 Xbox gift card and redeemed that to my account.

At first they tried to claim the deal ended a few days ago... I simply quoted the site showing it says the deal is until the 31st of October and that I had placed my order on Thursday.

If you somehow know of a way to gameshare a disc please enlighten everyone.

I think it's safe to assume Microsoft will not be giving a free digital copy away with every disc copy and the disc will not work in a pc so no playanywhere. Likewise if you know better please enlighten everyone.

I'm a little baffled by your reply because, generally, everyone knows what game share and Play Anywhere are. They're both based on DIGITAL purchases only. Play Anywhere is Microsoft's deal where, if you buy digitally, you get both Xbox One and Windows 10 versions. Game sharing is something very well known to the Xbox community at this point, too, as it's used to share games between Xbox consoles. It's used by a number of people, just like my link demonstrated (brothers sharing their games). And hey, Play Anywhere is the same as crossplay on PS4/PS3/Vita, too. Heck, even Nintendo has some crossplay digital titles.

Just to reiterate, if you buy physical games, you've never had the option to "game share" with any game company, except maybe random titles like Mario Kart, etc. etc. But, I guess those were more local-based sharing.

To be honest, reading your post back, it really sounds like you didn't know what P.A. was. Also, I didn't ignore "the first line" of your post. All it says is, "Only the disc version is £46.99." Sounds like you're just mentioning the price, for whatever reason. And your next line sounds like you don't think the game could be game shared or would feature play anywhere.

Honestly, you just didn't make it clear that you meant physical media can't be... uhm... shared :P Hmm...........
