This is a good deal and heat given but it's also a perfect way to highlight how ridiculous DLC practices have become in the game industry.

Pre-order bonus DLC, store exclusive DLC, season pass content, micro transactions, VIP content, additional non-season pass DLC (looking at you Evolve and Borderlands).....

I spotted this earlier but it's never been clear to me what's included as there are so many add-ons!
Does this get you ALL the available cars for Forza 6, or do you need the VIP pass too?
Or does this include that?
Are there any packs NOT included in this pass that would make the game complete?

Yes, they do unfortunately. Normally if you preorder a digital edition of the new game, in this case horizon 3 they give you one of the car packs for free, but there is no way to get everything in one bundle, I don't know why but there isn't.

Simply because they know that many of the people buying the car pass will be completionists wanting access to every car the game has to offer for the 'full experience'. If they give everything in the car pass then that is just one revenue source for them, if they give you most of, but not all, the content they know that most of those buying the car pass will buy up the last few remaining packs separately to finish off their collection.

It must work as it has been this way for some time and other modern racers tend to have a similar structure, indeed season passes work similarly, they give you all the content over a certain period, which usually covers most, but rarely all, the content released.

I think it's a really lousy greedy practice, there should just be a simple all cars or all add ons/dlc pack to buy, but you can't deny it works for them from a business perspective, which is ultimately what they are....

Just beware you don't do what I did and accidentally buy the Horizon one instead of the Forza 6 one, DOH!!! :disappointed:
