Okay, so this set has been up and down in price but really is a good price at the moment for what you get. I have recently posted some other models that might suit you better. This is kind of a middle ground I guess. You get the bigger size and similar connectivity options but no HDR (Compared to the 43" Hi-sense) Probably suits those looking for a bigger 4K set on a lower budget.
There are some really good options out there at the moment and I believe this is always a worth a goosey gander if you're weighing up pros and cons. I'm sure some of you will have recommendations on other models anyway, which is always great to see. There's often a lot to consider, just thought i'd throw this back out there as it really doesn't seem bad value at all.

I could be wrong but I don't think this model has even been out two years since it has HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 for UHD at 60HZ, which I think was only finalised in the last year or so, certainly wasn't common on budget sets like this two years ago. I think they do a 48" full HD version, which looks similar so maybe you have that one?
I have one of these and recommend it highly for the price, can't fault the picture and actually improved on my last set, which was a LG 47"

This is a 2016 model from Vestel... So perhaps you have a similar or related model but you won't have this one.

It's the current early 2016 generic Vestel TV that's available at this price across different brands (eg the Celcus 48" UHD TV for £300 at Sainsburys right now is the same model).
I guess it's down to what people think but this is definitely the normal price for this TV.
Find rear images on Google of 48" UHD TVs from Vestel, Digihome, Celcus, Toshiba, Panasonic, Blaupunkt etc etc - they are all this exact TV.

Just to add, my vote is cold because £300 is the going rate for this TV. It may seem amazing to people to get a 48" UHD TV for £300 but this ultra-budget model is that price normally.
Now if they reduce it to clear to say £250 that would be hot. But it's been available in various guises and brands at £300 for a couple of months now.
I don't have it but poor reports seem to generally outweigh good.

I think some people just like to hate on budget brands without ever actually owning the product, sadly some people are just brand snobs. Not saying that is necessarily anyone on this thread but there is definitely a trend of people slagging off cheaper brands yet failing to give any specific reason why the unbranded product is worse/bad.
I think now more than ever, with even large companies like Panasonic using Vestal panels, paying more for the 'big brand' is pointless and a waste of money in most cases, but hey just my opinion....

I agree, although I also wonder if maybe there is a quality control issue at Vestel. For the reviews to be SO polarised makes me wonder if some just go out bad?? I just don't know!
So do you have a UHD source connected to yours?We have BT Ultra HD but just an almost ten year old Full HD plasma that it's connected to.

I have cheap no brand 4k tv which works very well. Best TV I had. Much better than the expensive LG TV that it replaced.

Just buy a 4k TV and see how much difference it will make if you have 4k source like BT. Since I got my 4k I can never go back to 1080p

I have a 4K capable gaming PC connected, which it picks up fine at UHD at 60HZ though I haven't played anything on it yet, though it is a decent spec PC (Haswell based i5 with 16GB and a GTX970) I fear the framerates will nosedive when I crank the resolution up to uhd though I guess I can turn off AA at least. thinking of running 1440P as a middle ground but have heard that resolution doesn't scale to 4K all that nicely.
The only other 4K material I have experience of is using Youtube, mainly for scenic round the world type 4K footage, which is impressive, though youtube's high compression compromises the experience a bit (artefacts on fast moving scenes) and Netflix, both using the TV's built in smart apps. Netflix in UHD has impressed me the most. I watched Better Call Saul as I had watched this fairly recently on my last 1080P set, so thought it a good comparison. Whilst I won't pretend it is night and day kind of difference (it’s much more subtle) there is a definite benefit to UHD. It’s hard to quantify it precisely but to me outdoor shots in particular seem to benefit and appear positively teeming with extra fine detail and it seems more vibrant too and you can see details that bit further away (in the shot, you don’t want to sit far away from the TV) than with regular 1080P.

I got this last week for 269 on ebay from coop outlet store. If u make an offer on an other tv and that gets rejected ebay may send u a 10% voucher, which i used to get it for 269. Tv came with all accessories in unopened packaging.
Tv is great for the price and I use mine as a monitor with window10 (i do loads of photo editing and wanted to see my pics in 4k). Ive noticed the following :
The tv suffers from vignetting arouns the corners but more so the top ones. Not too much but its noticble using the windows gui. Its not that notible with video
The screen brightness flickers but only very very occasionally and i changed some settings which seems to have eliminated it.
Over all this tv blows my 1080p 4yr old samsung that cost 2000 out of the water!

I too got mine last week £299 delivered) after my old 47" Sharp lcd gave up the ghost, mine is also connected to a media/gaming pc under it, but I haven't had any of the problems that you have found maybe early days for me and I've been playing BF1 almost all week and watching films (No 4k though) the picture quality and sound is as good if not better as my LG 47" 3D tv and 32" Samsung's LED which are in the other rooms!
not saying it's better as I took a wee chance on buying a cheep make but no regrets.........yet lol

4k is much better than 1080p. Best buy I ever made. Much better than expensive LG 1080p it replaced.
