Bit of deal and code stacking if you have a sweet tooth, this is an online only deal and you will need to click and collect next day to get the quoted prices. You need to add code XXLPLA at checkout

http://www.tesco.com/groceries/SpecialOffers/SpecialOfferDetail/Default.aspx?promoId=A32069681

Option 2: 1.3kg Quality street tin for £4

http://www.tesco.com/groceries/product/details/?id=284743930

You know, (and yes I know how boring I'm going to sound ) this consistent joke about eating chocolate and somehow developing diabetes is extremely disrespectful and ignorant to those people who have the disease.

I don't understand how it can constantly come up so freely, we wouldn't make jokes about cancer like this (yes, diabetes can also be life threatening).

My daughter was diagnosed with diabetes (type 1) when she was 8 and I assure you it had nothing to do with her sugar intake. So I hope you can understand where I am coming from.

If you need more information about diabetes, it might be worth reading this: https://www.diabetes.org.uk/Guide-to-diabetes/Enjoy-food/Eating-with-diabetes/Diabetes-food-myths/Myth-sugar-causes-diabetes/

I'm not aiming this at you personally, FD. It's an ongoing joke that I've never understood <3

Might be going to a birthday celebration tomorrow so will take a box of chocolates and keep 7 for myself.

I might also take a bottle of champagne (Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label Non Vintage Champagne 75Cl) priced at £35.

Still undecided, will know by tomorrow.

Option 5: 2kg of chocolates for £1? :confused::neutral_face::laughing:

This is a good deal but I want to spend under £40.00 so there is a £4.00 charge and also the cheapest delivery slot is £2.00 so £6.00 over the usual price.

Is there any other codes if I want to spend £40.00 and add more grossary items in my basket, like new customer codes £15.00 off £60.00 spend with free delivery saver and this £7.00 off it would've been more cheaper

To get it working I went to the offers page, added the 8 cartons so it showed £8 then follow it through to after the warning of the £4 delivery charge, then it will go to the delivery page again. When on this page, go directly back to the deals page (Hold down the previous page button, usually) then delete the items out of your cart, add them again and the offer will show. Then direct click forward (Hold down the forward page button, usually) to the latest page and you can click proceed to payment and add the voucher on the next page. Going through for me as £5.

Somehow Chanchi you always come up smelling of Roses on this site. If I met you walking down the Quality Street I'd shake your hand! This deal will furnish my weekend Celebrations with much indulgence. All guests will feel well and truly Pampered. Might be best to order the loo roll 6 pack as well, just in case...

Well done Chanchi. This site needs more Heroes like you!

i don't know the person but it might not have been a joke.
And you can develop diabetes and get obese by eating lots of stuff like this.
if you eat it occasionally you are probably ok. the best thing to eat as less as possible of this stuff.
I actually never buy this but I don't say this is the only way to do it.

Nice code, which is the key point here (and it's a bit of a pity that has been kind of hidden by the chocolate suggestion).

You've got two choices- keep the order value low and let the £7 off minus £4 low value charge give you £3 off a small basket, or stretch the order out to £40 and take all £7. I went for the latter - 8 bottles of Hardy's Crest (£7 each but on 2 for £10). Full price order would be £56, I paid £33 (£4.12 per bottle). Happy with that, have some heat OP.

So are stacks of other things (and so is a load of stuff half price which is tantamount to the same thing). Why unnecessarily imply this only applies to chocolates? This code applies to all purchases, which is the point. There are equally good deals for people who want nappies, cheese, wine, or even the weekly shop they were going to buy anyway - so they are likely to walk straight on past the thread, which is a pity and a waste (as far as they are concerned).

Why not just post as "£7 off your next click and collect at Tesco - stacks with BOGOF etc." and then present some alternatives within the post body (and making clear the choice you have regarding either accepting or avoiding the £4 low basket charge, which has confused everyone since the start of the thread)?

Anyway, I'm pleased I did read in even though I can't be doing with chocolate as I too have now benefited (for which I am grateful, no offence intended to the OP for my feedback on the presentation of the deal).

Just picked up my 8 boxes - the Tesco man said I was the 3rd person in 15 minutes to collect an order. Was it Hot Deals by any chance? He implied that Tesco are aware of it and getting rid of a lot of chocolates that isn't Christmas stock i.e. expiry date is only Feb 2017 whereas the Christmas stock is Aug 2017 (dates are approx). Incidentally - my Celebrations are Feb 2017 and Quality Street are Aug 2017.

As someone who suffers with type 2 diabetes, I don't find it offensive at all.

90-95% of diabetic patients are type 2 diabetics. Research has shown that around 60% of those cases of type 2 diabetes could have been prevented if those patients were of a normal weight.

So the inference that eating lots of junk like chocolate can lead to diabetes is not so much a misguided one.

And that's from me, a 22 stone woman who was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes (due to being morbidly obese at 24 stone), who has completely reversed it's effects in the last couple of months by implementing a healthier lifestyle, and now has a decreasing waistline and normal blood sugar levels...

All or OP,

Is brand match OK on click+collect?

i.e. I buy 2 x 1ltr Russian Standard at £19 a bottle = £38
10 fillers totalling £2 (that aren't cheaper at Sainsbobs)

Conchiron
22 Sep 16 #294
Yep, exactly, although with the £4 charge on baskets under £40, it's more of a £3 off £40 shop.

In this case the sweets are pretty cheap before the voucher, tubs are ~750g and the cartons are ~250g. £4 on cartons = ~1kg, 750g tubs are usually on promotion for that or sometimes maybe a little less, and when you add the voucher on top, it's even better of a deal.
luvsadealdealdeal
22 Sep 16 1 #295
not sure exactly how this happened but I got 12 cartons of the QS 265g chocolates for £3

isn't that a bit cheaper than you said, Chanchi?

they messed up my wife's order & cancelled it, the Tesco guy was very apologetic (esp since they had plenty of product, just that it was marked 'off sale') and said somebody should have phoned me to save a wasted journey plus he said something about cancelling the service charge on my order - I've got a feeling he bunged me a carton of 6 as an extra to keep me sweet  not that he said he was doing that lol

My click & collect order was to be picked up between 8-10am today, but didn`t get there till 10.30, was only a little express (Had never been there before) When I went upto the desk, they said groceries are collected from a Tesco van in car park! So off I trundled to look in the car park, no van....ho hum I`v blown it. Quick call to Tesco and told to go back between 12-2pm, luckily was still in area. Went back & saw van in car park & he still had my chocs. He has to wait 2 hours for peeps to collect then go & get the next batch....It turns out the main store which I tried to collect from but was out of stock uses the same centre as the litlle store I collected from? Anyway all good, got my chocs.
Thanks Chanchi - will be a treat for all my neices & nephews, might have 1 box left to keep...:stuck_out_tongue:

Update: After receiving a phone call about cancellation. I went to the same store and found out that there were hundreds of boxes on the display. Asked the staff and they told me that these boxes are on sale since early in the morning.
I rang to the same number from inside the store and the lady came out and after some argument, she let me placed new order with the same offer.
