Might be worth it as a double pack... And if they added an auto save. Might be a bit rich for me.

Well it seems like a good remaster and also they now include multiple save slots as confirmed by Capcom and includes these
"All three titles will return to take advantage of the current gen hardware systems, bringing the hilarious horror up to a gory-ous 1080p at 60 fps. Each new version of the game will also include all of the additional previously released DLC costumes."

Will this get a official UK disc release anyone think?

No Capcom confirmed it will remain digital only in EU for all 3 Dead Rising Remasters, same like before with Resident Evil 4,5,6.
Shame they lost #3 to microsoft exclusivity; always wanted to play it as enjoyed the first two games.

DR3 is on Steam. Thank god they're moving away from that horrendous Windows Store.

Is the save feature fixed on DR1 on this new edition? By that I mean, it auto-saves or saves the exact state?

From what i read for DR1 no auto save etc you still have to visit those spots for saving, only improvment is there is now multiple save slots.
DR2 however from the start has better saving/checkpoint system than DR1.

NTSC? That's not a thing anymore - certainly not with these consoles. These games will be running at 1080p 60fps.

Which is best, this or dead island?

Defiantly dead rising. Dead island was a slow and boring fps, everything in it has been done before. Dead rising is so much better. So much more to do and the action is at the right pace. I could go on all day long why dead rising is amazing compared to dead island.

Multiple save spots sure is an improvement but the amount of times I died and forgot to save just discouraged me from playing it.

Thought this was £18.99 as a collection.
That's a rip off for the individual titles.

Tbh, I loved Dead Rising 1 & 2, thought they were awesome.
The save system on Dead Rising 1 is very old skool, they improved it slightly on Dead Rising 2 but not quite to the standard of Dead Rising 3. If I remember correctly, in DR1 you had to go back to the safe house to save. Game over meant game over (revert back to previous save). Dead Rising 2 was similar but had save points dotted about (usually changing rooms and toilets I think), game over meant you had to revert back to a previous save as well.
If I'm honest, I think new players might struggle to warm to this style of gameplay.
