Agreed but I paid £93 (inclusive of VAT and buyers premium) for BNIB (only main unit looks like it was removed for display purposes / no scratches/finger prints etc) @ John Pyes auction house and seen same units going for similar price recently
It's a good system I can't fault it but I'd never pay £299 for it

I've got an old Sony surround system that has the wires run under the floorboards and up the walls.
My issue is that it doesn't play blu-rays. Does anyone have this system, and if so, can you take a pic of the back so that I can see if I can use my existing cables?
I reckon you will be fine as long as the unit matches that picture below. Sony have been using the same connects etc on these all in ones for years and years. The one below shows the same connects as my ancient one (2002?) and the newer one I used to have (2011).

out of interest, do you know if the connections pictured are simply speaker wires terminated with their proprietary connectors? So if you were to cut the connector off, you'd be left with speakers than can be used with another system?
