Thanks for that, found the guardian's article intriguing
"Recent studies have linked triclosan to a series of disruptions in human and animal health. A University of Chicago study released in July found that triclosan changed the microbiome inside human guts, and its researchers suggested that exposure could damage developing fetuses. A study from earlier this year found that overuse could also be contributing to antibiotic resistance, and a 2015 study found that antibacterial formulas were not more effective than soap and water.
Triclosan can be found in 93% of liquid soaps labeled “antibacterial” or “antimicrobial”, according to the FDA, though some companies, including Proctor & Gamble, have already begun phasing the chemical out of products. There are partial triclosan bans in the European Union and Minnesota, but the chemical remains common in toothpaste, as it is believed effective against the bacteria that cause gum disease." so it's no, no for antibacterial hand wash but it's just fine for toothpaste to have Triclosan as an ingredient. After all it's much easier on the digestion :confused:
I'll check my toothpaste and try and avoid it

By the way if you are using myPicks the Baylis & Harding magnolia 500ml works out a bit cheaper per ml. Both magnolia and the antibacterial bottles are part of myPicks and with the 20% off are £1.06
I wasn't sure which to pick before my next outing to Waitrose, but thanks to chakalakaboomboom the choice is clear :sunglasses:

I think the Shopitize one is a different kind... that's Carex Anibacterial Handwash Original, this is Carex Moisture Plus Handwash.

Cheers! Shopitize has 30p off the cost of the Carex Anibacterial Handwash Original (250ml) 70p... so 40p after cash back. But they're a offer place, offer runs from Wednesday-Tuesday (last day of this week is tomorrow), and you pay full amount and the cashback goes into your account until you withdraw it (when total is above £5 I think). But they didn't have that one when I went in the other day, so will go back and see if it's there, and if not try the one above or the Baylis & Harding. So excellent work people
