Saw this on the Nectar app and thought it wasn't too bad considering most people probably spend around a fiver on eBay

Might be a gimmick, but since i started using it earlier in the year its certainly given me at least £30 off things on eBay and Salisburys that i would have paid for anyway, and all i have to do is scan a card.. Hardly pointless

Nectar is probably the slowest and most untrusting points awards card bar none.
The points (if added at all) can take several months, you literally have to make a note of the date/time of the transaction and contact their customer services to get the points. It seems the points don't track or just never appear.
Awarding hundreds of points in real money is nothing, it's a gimmick of marketing. They must think people are mugs, 250 points is worth all of £1.25 in Argos........... Nectar are literally "pointless"

You must have bad luck. my points always add within a day or two.
I find club card a bit more frustrating in that you can't use to your points straight away.

Fairly sure it's the same deal - the eBay surprise. Though I have activated both from the eBay email today (stating 1st - 4th Sep) and via the Nectar website to be sure.
No surprise though that the scheme isn't generous on larger value purchases.
