I haven't played either game but I must admit, from the sounds of things, I actually prefer the sound of Battleborne to Overwatch. Mighty close to taking a punt at this price.

I would love Overwatch to have some PVE modes, raids etc - the character archetypes are set up for it perfectly. I dream of what Titan was supposed to be.

The beta was rubbish and enough to say this isn't worth a purchase in my opinion. Hopefully Gearbox can redeem themselves with Borderlands 3.

The Doom beta was terrible and the game didnt reflect that, in fact most of the reviews you see online are based on the beta and can not be compared to the retail game, you cant really give your opinion just because you played the beta.

I've not played this myself but I hate blanket statements that say "don't buy" or "save yourself some money" we are all different in our tastes. Granted its not for everyone but we can all agree this game can be had for a pretty cheap price so if you've read all your reviews or just want to blind buy and give it a go you could do worse this pick it up now for just under £10 :smiley:

I've not only played this but finished the campaign and put a fair few levels into multiplayer and I have to say, overall it's just fairly standard. It's not a bad game as many would have you believe and that's non-debatable; it has a decent roster of varied characters, skills, loot, levelling, progression and is great fun with a friend. The multiplayer is lackluster and there's no great incentive there to carry on playing the few maps over the same three game modes for any extended period, but it's worth a tenner just for a blast through with the many different heroes because if this wasn't realised at the same time as Overwatch, it would have had a much better reception. Just about a 7/10 experience.

I haven't tried Overwatch but I really like this game - lots of characters levelling up gears skins gestures humor etc. Only problem is you are so prone to collide with other players or the enviroment, Literally get stuck with others and both can't break up!

Think I have a similar amount of points with TGC too but I'd have been fairly disappointed if they were used on anything that could barely hold its price for a decent amount of time
