It's not about patriotism, Starbucks tastes awful. Nero and Costa taste better, simples!

Costa messed up my points. I messaged and they made such a big deal of giving me back £1.60 in points, and said this was an exception and wouldnt happen again. It was their fault and they were so demeaning. So, I will go where they treat me right.

No thanks - in this day and age I think we should be backing something British, not American - Costa and Caffe Nero are both British coffee shops, and take your pick of non- American cards.
A little bit more patriotism might help in many ways in difficult times.

Heat added op, but am feeling very out in the cold with my Amex lately. All I'm being offered is really rubbishy deals :disappointed:
Yes on one of my cards and also on a supplementary card.
Some offers have been missing from the supplementary card recently, which caused concern..........
..........................especially with 'Shop Small' being under 12 weeks away.
Any deals to coincide with using a giftcard? Giftcards are the way to go and saves messing about. Also, assuming a giftcard would be fine to use in airports? If there's a Starbuck's there, obviously.

Believe so. Even better if you're going to the USA, Canada, Australia, Hong Kong, Mexico or Republic of Ireland you can use your Starbucks credit there too. If you're not already going to one of those destinations I assume you're now ammending your airline booking so you can take advantage

I am sure you mean well but this approach doesn't make logical sense. Why do you believe that Costa is British owned? It's a brand of Whitbread and their two largest shareholders are American investment funds. Even if it wasn't i don't think we want a return to the days of tolerating sub-standard quality purely because it's British. Sorry for the rant, I had a Morris Marina.

Here, here. Cost tastes better to boot. Tbh most Starbucks coffee tastes foul without all the over priced add ons. independent coffee shops beat most high street fares on both taste and price.
