It's cheap cos it's just a very thin slab of regular foam, no memory foam, which is kinda the point of a foam mattress. And a lot of the 'great reviews' are from people who got it free :smirk:

Mattress is very important for your body especially back get a decent one . I tried few cheap ones and they are not worth it

We've drawn a blank as it has no memory...now that does not sound very pressure relieving :wink:

Bought a foam mattress from Ikea (Sultan, I think), which seemed quite firm and supportive when I tried it in store, but when you actually sleep on it night after night it does not regain its shape. Not one of my better buys. I won't be buying a foam mattress again.

If I don't like it, I can just send it back for a refund :smiley:

Get a nice thick feather and down mattress topper. Transforms any mattress. Like sleeping on a fluffy cloud. This one is great...

Lying on this mattress as a write this - its a hard mattress but fantastic value for what it is. I paid £64 for the double and think it's astounding value compared to other cheap mattresses. This was supposed to be a quick stopover mattress until we could afford a better one, with this going to the spare bed, however we have scrapped that as this is amazing once yoy get used to its firmness.

Surely more like sleeping on a bag of dead ducks? :wink:

You really wouldn't want to sleep on this very often continuously.

Your back won't thank you And you'll be bathed in sweat from condensation, because that's what foam does

We had this mattress bought for us in January of this year, by May the pains in my back and legs were insane. It lost its shape completely. The middle (where no one sleeps) was still firm and comfy, but the two sides you could feel the wooden slats of the bed through. If you laid in the middle and leaned to one side, you would roll into the dip we had to sleep in. Horrible mattress, but the dog now has a comfy bed, and lots of it left over in the loft for future dog beds.
Have since bought a more expensive mattress with an eight year guarantee, the pains disappeared and it is worth every penny

who spends this little on a mattress they are going to spend years sleeping on :confused:

as eatmorefish said, it's worth spending the money on a decent mattress.

this would only surely do for a guest room which is rarely used.

Bought for guest room. Perhaps it will encourage my guests not to stay quite as long..
