13 nights around Milan, Lake Como, Sicily, Reggio Calabria and Rome for £336.15 each including flights, ferry and hotels.
This deal is based on 2 adults flying out to Milan from London Stansted on 6th October returning from Rome on 19th October.
There are similar flight price to/from Manchester.
You will be staying in Lake Como for 3 nights, Milan for 2 nights, Catania for 2 nights, Reggio Calabria for 3 nights and Rome for 3 nights. All of the hotels I have chosen have great reviews and private bathrooms. Many of these places you will have to pay city tax upon check in and check out and this is normal for Italy.
6th - 9th October - Lake Como
You will be flying into Milan Malpensa and land around 11am. You can catch a shuttle bus into the city centre from the terminal. Once you've arrived into Milan Centrale train station (where the coach drops you off) you can catch the train straight to Como. No need to pre book your train tickets and they're frequent and only cheap to buy on the day.
I've chosen the B&B hotel Como, the hotel is on the outskirts of the town of Como itself, it is only a 10 minute bus ride to the lake and the buses are cheap. The hotel has excellent reviews on Tripadvisor with an average of 4/5 stars.
9th - 11th - Milan
Catch one of the many trains back into the centre of Milan this only takes around an hour.
I've chosen the Residenza Paradiso as it has great reviews on Tripadvisor with an average of 4.5/5 stars. I've chosen to pay a bit extra and choose the private bathroom. The hotel is close to the centre and has great public transport access.
11th - 13th Catania, Sicily
Check out early and head to Milan Centrale to catch a bus to Milan Bergamo where you will fly out to Catania.
I've chosen the Camplus Living D'Aragona which is in the heart of Catania. It has a gym and a private bathroom and great reviews on Tripadvisor.
13th - 16th - Reggio Calabria
Check out early and catch the train to Messina, from there you will catch the ferry over to Reggio Calabria.
I've chosen the B&B CasettAzzurri which has amazing reviews on Tripadvisor and is in the heart of the city. It is only a 10 minute walk to the beaches included free breakfast and is close to the airport.
16th - 19th - Rome
Check out early and jump a cab to the airport for the early flight to Rome.
You will be landing into Rome Fiumicino so hope on the train which will take you into the heart of Rome.
I've chosen the B&B Luxury Rooms San Pietro which has great reviews on TripAdvisor and is close to the Vatican. The hotel has a great location and excellent access to public transport.
You will be flying back to Stansted from Rome Fiumicino so head back from Termini.
This deal only includes hand luggage however you're entitled to a 10kg cabin bag and a personal hand bag. If you pack wisely you shouldn't have any trouble doing this trip. If you wanted to check luggage in it'll cost £50 extra each.

I'm looking at an Italian trip so your post is very useful!
Going to try and tweak it somewhat for a longer stay in Sicily and look up some relatives! :innocent:

Very good Blue. Did something similar last year and was truly spectacular. Looking to do mid/north Croatia (probably start from Split) and into north Italy next Spring but flights from Edinburgh are sadly not as cheap as this...grrrrrr! great deal again.
