This is really good quality rice, people often commented on the quality when I cook it. I bought 20kg when it was £10 for 10kg.

If this is sourced from India or Pakistan then more likely to have pesticide residues and go unchecked for high amounts of arsenic. Personally I prefer the value 1kg bags of rice normally about 40p and sourced from the US. All rice has arsenic though and higher in brown varieties.

Standard rule: wash the rice before cooking. If it was as dangerous as you say then the rice would never be allowed into EU.
