At least it arrived and glad that the process worked for you, as I'm sure it often does for many. Yes, I have to say that the box packaging could have done with some bubble wrap protection instead of the standard flimsy battleship-grey plastic bag which offers no protection against knocks. Groupon are essentially the middle man, the same middle man who tends to get in the way of a simple order and delivery. In contrast, I found Trojan to be very helpful where they're generally oblivious to customer complaints that are filtered (hidden) by Groupon but still had their hands tied requiring Groupon to get their act sorted.
It turns out that after posting above, that Hermes delivered the xbox one wireless controller the next day! Crazy and certainly not because of my complaint. I was left with a puzzled expression. My friendly Polish courier explained that the package had got stuck in their system with missing address information on the label. The full information was provided in the invoice and billing but absent from the label. What confused the whole process is that Groupon couldn't clarify whether the controller had been posted or not, with me arguing the toss about why I had received a heavy box of exantediet shakes. The shakes that hadn't been ordered confused the whole process.
I wasted 3 hours that morning chasing Groupon (web chat and calls) and returning the shakes (it doesn't take me days to process a package). Their support is pretty much non-existent where any support representative doesn't have the authority to fix any problems, likely an outsourced call centre who simply pass on your problem. Had I experienced the same problem with an eBay seller, we all know that by and large they bend over backwards to fix their mistake even if it means them being out of pocket. Ebay sellers enjoy a 100% reputation feedback. Groupon don't give a flying... and not the best first impression for those with a new account, not to be confused with a new customer ;-)
Given Groupon's advice of possibly having to wait 10 days (really, 10 days!?) for the matter being escalated and resolved (essentially checking availability with the merchant that I did myself in 10 minutes, not 10 days), I gave in and bought the same controller from China with the forthcoming release of Rise of Iron. Little did I know at the time that the controller via Groupon would arrive the next day.
From the initial problem of my controller suffering from stick drift problems and sticky "A" button (broken internal silicone pad)
* I fixed it myself for less than £4 with parts ordered from ebay including next day signed for delivery. Brilliant.
* New controller from Groupon/Trojan and a lot of frustration, wasted time and contracted tourettes. Pain in the...
* New controller on the way from China via AliExpress. (with a courtesy message and heads-up). Great so far.
Happy gaming everyone and thanks for the deal, even if it means that any financial savings could lead to a cost of your precious time. I still voted HOT for the deal but if possible, it would be cold for the service.

I got lucky it appears and my one arrived fairly quickly (albeit it looking like it was kicked around the Hermes warehouse!).... This is truly shocking though. Making customers run around to return and prove it, yet they can't dispatch the controller as they sent the wrong item. Very poor on Groupons part here, sorry you did not get a good service.

I seriously wouldn't recommend this, I placed an ordered 2 weeks ago, I messaged them last week they said "it was dispatched on the 22nd, yet I've waited that long...Luckily enough I got a refund
When I say delivered, the xbox one wireless controller morphed itself into a box full of shakes and vitamins. That's the risk you take when Hermes are involved, grrr.

Actually, it would appear that Groupon were responsible for dispatching the wrong item, as I researched and discovered that they are selling the exantediet shakes via another listing on their web site. Hermes just can't read an address, an ability you would consider a prerequisite for a delivery courier.

Update: I subsequently spoke with Trojan Electronics who are the actual Merchant and they were far better to deal with than Groupon's outsourced foreign customer support. However, they still require Groupon to authorise the transaction and re-issue the controller via Trojan, who checked their warehouse stock where the item is more than available. Groupon are totally useless caught up in unnecessary procedure of 10 days this, 10 days that when it takes 10 seconds to check availability.
I will more than likely ask for a full refund than any credit and have since (today) bought the controller from China
for $28.77 which should be £21.55 GBP delivery to the UK included, cheaper than the current UKHD listing if you don't mind the 3 week wait from China. Even with 3 weeks, that'll be faster that Groupon getting their act sorted....

If you go through topcashback as well they are offering £10 cashback to new customers. I tried it earlier and it tracked @ just under £2. Hopefully it will go upto £10 as it does say might track at a lower amount first. So might even be better then buzz's deal using the app.
