Found in Poundland, Airdrie. A good selection of Usborne Phonics Readers. £1 each, yet about £5 on Amazon.
These books are great fun to read to very young children. They are also a great aid for helping children who are learning to read, due to the simple rhyming text. The books also contain a useful guide for parents.

Thanks OP. As ever Poundland frequently get in job lots of the Book People-type "20 books for £12" or similar, and pump them out at £1 each.
So for an individual title this will be a good deal, but for bulk buying there will probably be prices out there at less that £1/book.
