I've never had a problem with Ebuyer either. They're one of my favourite places to shop for computer stuff. Cheap, too. What issues have you had with them?

Depends on which drives you mean. If these are generic 'green' drives then like-for-like you'd expect the internal to be cheaper I suppose, given the lack of casing etc involved. However the more specialised drives (red, NAS etc) never seem to make it into these enclosures and are always more expensive due to their nature anyway.

Supply and demand - companies sell a lot more external drives to Joe Public than internal drives, so the price is lower.

I have a couple of these drives plugged into my Xpenology server for backups. The internal array consists of four 3TB drives, most of which were liberated from external USB enclosures.

I'd hazard a guess it's a 4 Terabyte one.... :smiley:
