Does this register in the Galaxy client? I don't have an optical drive in my current build.

*UPDATE*
It appears that physical copies of Wild Hunt also shipped with a GOG key in-box in addition to the DVDs. It's not yet clear if this will be the case with the GOTY version.

As far as I'm aware, at least with the original Wild Hunt PC DVD, it installs from disc without a client. I'm not sure if there's DRM on the disc - but judging from CDProjekt Red's comments on the subject I'd suggest not.

Cheers, looking at the cd key sites, they are selling for the GOG platform so guessing it will come with gog key so I could download even if I bought the physical copy.

True - assuming that CD Projekt Red/GOG (same company) decide to replicate their model from the Wild Hunt physical release. Having read a little on the subject, it appears that the free post-release DLC and other GOG bonuses (soundtrack etc.) where only made available to people choosing the "register" their Wild Hunt digital key.

I found the controls and menus almost painful in The Witcher 2 - have they adjusted them at all in 3?

I can't really speak regarding W2, but the controls feel very modern and intuitive in W3. The somewhat recent HUD overhaul has made it even easier if your using it with a controller & TV. I don't have an issue with it at all. Only downside to using a pad (if that's what you prefer) is no quick save option, but that can easily be fixed with a binding program to F5.
I used antimicro and have bound F5 to holding down the left stick for 3 seconds. Much easier then using the menu to do it

Witcher 3 in general is a much more user friendly, intuitive game than Witcher 2 and well worth playing.
The Hearts of Stone expansion was my personal game of the year. Absolutely exceptional from start to finish and I doubt anything will come close to it in terms of overall quality and consistency of quality for years.

Hmmm I prefer a pad on the PS4 and a really decent keyboard/mouse set up on PC. I'm just old-fashioned like that :P

Hot! This is an amazing price for the compete package of one of the best RPG's made, Especially considering the expansion pass costs £20 on it's own.

Mine arrived this morning, Came with a Gog code. I don't like the box art and the case is pretty plain/cheap. I'd have prefered to just buy from cdkeys and save £5
