It’s been 6 months since Dubai was wiped off the map by a cataclysmic sandstorm. Thousands of lives were lost, including those of American soldiers sent to evacuate the city. Today, the city lies buried under sand, the world’s most opulent ruin.

A game I've always wanted to play but as I know the endings due to seeing it on so many best twist endings videos I feel its ruined for me.
Great price though

Was free on PS+ ages ago and I've only just got round to finishing it this week.
The controls got on my nerves, if you've played Uncharted and Gears of War and games of that ilk who get TPS right and go to this it's quite grating.
The game has its moments, mainly in it's story even if it doesn't make much sense most times. But it is an incredibly average game bordering on poor.
But the Deal is quite cheap, just thought I'd give my views for what they're worth.

I enjoyed this well enough but the stuff about the story being great is just marketing nonsense. It was predictable and generic. People bang on about F.E.A.R having amazing AI and that's also marketing bunk that got sheepled into folklore. I'd definitely play it again, though.

So my opinion of this game having a good story is moot?

In 2005 , when f.e.a.r. came out, it's AI was streets ahead of anything on the market. Arguably it still has better enemy AI than many modern shooters

Got this on PS+, very good game with an excellent and quite disturbing story. Quite tough as well.

I'd have to disagree there. The overall story is ok and the twist is ok, but it's ruined by the terrible characters. The game has a strong circlejerk which skews the actual quality.
I paid 2.50 on PC and got around 5hrs out of it. I wouldn't have paid more .

I really enjoyed this one. Hoping this will be released BC on Xbone sometime soon.

It's honestly overrated. Not bad by any means, but people blow it out of proportion a little bit. I enjoyed it, but it was nothing special. It's just that most military games are not even trying that makes this stand out a bit.

That's your opinion which is fine pal, I genuinely enjoyed the story, wasn't overrated in my eyes.
