Those Seagate 3TB drives are best avoided. Notoriously bad. Also can't be extracted from the casing as the connections are soldered onto the drive.

Strange, bought 2 (2TB) for my PS4 & Laptop. Just a standard sata connection inside. All it took was a small screwdriver and knife to pop the clips. Now have a 500gb and 1tb portable drives from the leftovers.
These are recommended as they are slim and fit the PS4, but I am speaking for the 2tb version, I would assume the 3tb is a bit fatter.
The drive inside is 12.5mm high, so will not fit in a PS3/PS4, most laptops etc etc.

Every time I see a hard drive deal there's always one guy who says the particular brand is to be avoided. :neutral_face:
On the other perspective I have had the 2tb version of this drive for a year plus for a work backup and it's still good!

Bought one, ten days later was refunded without asking with the explanation that anywhere beyond Inverness isn't mainland UK and they don't go beyond there.
