Nice! Was gonna get one from eBay but this seems to be cheaper and from a reputable shop too. Heat added.

Voted hot and tempted, but some of the reviews on Amazon mention it appears to have a heat problem. The answered questions appear to contradict this though, maybe because it is metal?

Not that I'm claiming to have any answers: I've found all memory sticks which are put in my computers USB3 socket get hot, but when placed in a USB2 socket, they don't. This is happens even when not reading/writing from the device. USB can deliver more power, perhaps it is just too much heat for these tiny devices to dissipate?!

Ever used a grixx drive? They get super hot. Too hot to touch sometimes. I have 2 of the 128 grixx drives and other than the heat issue they are very fast and reliable. Think they are plastic.
This looks a good deal.

I can't believe how fast these are dropping in price.
I bought an HP 32GB one a couple of years ago for £18 IIRC. That was metal and it does get hot as well but that doesn't seem to affect performance.
Voted hot and at this price I have ask myself do I really need another USB stick.
Might as well give the old 4 & 8 GB ones to the dog to play with lol.

Small and extremely lightweight, and quite fast on reads and writes - speeds will vary dependant upon the size of files being transferred, slower for many smaller ones, faster for fewer large. The body is metal with a fixed plastic sleeve over the rear end for attachment of a lanyard which is not supplied but one with a lobster claw may fit otherwise some narrow ribbon looped through. Overall it's a good product. Thanks for these nice share.

wow, Sandisk got another version of flash drive which is fast and at normal price.
Before I only know Sandisk Extreme flash drive is fast, but the price is slightly more than a normal flash drive.
I will suggest this one to other people who do not want to pay more for speed in the future.

the Verbatim 128GB Store n Go Pinstripe USB 3.0 Drive @ £16.99 is a good choice and the lifetime warranty is a bonus also! :-)
Seems a lot quick in write compare to the Sandisk Ultra Flair. Almost as good as Sandisk Extreme.
Definitely a better option.
Some review report it get quite hot too.
My Sandisk Extreme does not have the problem. It only get warm, not to the degree I consider hot.
Do you know if all three version, Samsung bar, duo and fit are all that fast? Or just the bar is fast?

Still waiting for a fast 128GB USB 3 stick that doesn't get hot at a reasonable price then...

Electronics get hot. CPUs about 50c at idle, what of it?

In my experience heat is kryptonite for electronics so I don't want anything storing my data getting hot. A fried CPU can generally be replaced...

Hukd'ers put too much emphasis on heat sometimes. A fried stick can be replaced for a tenth of cpu cost. And data loss is not an issue unless the stick data is your only copy, which is unlikely.
