Windows store version just 1920 x 1080 native max settings with a GTX1070 averages a little over 30FPS. A Pascal Titan X is around 50FPS. Comically bad optimisation.
The steam version better get more patches to improve this even if the game is 5 months old, because it has tragic performance worse than pretty much any big budget game out now

Wow that's unbelievable. Don't they test the game at all prior to release?
How do they even have the nerve to put out such unoptimized garbage.

It's been designed specifically for Xbox One, announced late only for DX12 and Windows 10 store exclusivity. Then dumped onto it with virtually no PC specific work it seems. Most likely at the behest of Microsoft to promote their cross play program. Except it sold so awfully (damn right) on Win 10 that suddenly this steam version will now work on Windows 7 and DX11 too. Surprise!
Initially you could not turn off image scaling on this game on PC. Meaning no matter what you selected, whatever resolution, you would be viewing a software upscaled image. On PC. ON PC! This is how bad this port was.
Luckily it has had a few patches to fix this and that, but the game engine clearly isn't sorted out to extract the unnecessary console optimisations that likely hinder PC performance badly. Just hope that with the DX11 version and patches for Steam all this will be improved.
Besides this, turning down volumetric lighting and shadow resolution to high instead of ultra offer up decent performance gains without losing too much quality.

Personally will not be laying down any money for this until after we've seen how it runs.
The Windows Store version doesn't leave a lot of confidence in this title.
