Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon will launch in Europe on November 23, exclusively on the Nintendo 3DS family of systems. Following in the tradition of previous games in the Pokémon series, players choose one of three special Pokémon to be their first partner. These are among the first Pokémon players will encounter in the game. In Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon, players will be able to choose between the newly discovered Grass- and Flying-type Pokémon Rowlet, Fire-type Litten, and Water-type Popplio. For a Pokémon Trainer, knowing the Pokémon types and how they match up against one another in battle is vital. Grass-type Pokémon are strong against Water types, but weak against Fire types. Fire-type Pokémon are strong against Grass types and weak against Water types. And Water-type Pokémon are strong against Fire types, but weak against Grass types.

I still think Gold and silver were the best. You beat the game then an entire new world opened up! Was superb at the time. What they achieved on the Gameboy in a couple of megabytes was nothing short of amazing.

Great. Cancelled Sun pre-order with Amazon and got it from Base. Still have Moon pre-ordered with Amazon though. Best case scenario, I get Sun early. Worst case scenario, Sun doesn't arrive on release, but I still get Moon from Amazon on day-one.

Why both? For the few pokemon which are version exclusive?

I imagine so... or the user collects games in the series, which wouldn't be uncommon for such a popular franchise

How many Pokemons in this game? Is it the ridiculous 700+?

Well, here's hoping they cock up and send out copies of this early too. Just get a terrible feeling I'll wind up ordering the one which winds up having exclusive Pokemon I don't want...

Definitely agree. Well worth a play in the future again, have all the games until the 3DS versions.

It wasn't a new world. It was the region from the previous game. But it does annoy me they haven't done that since. The closest we got was the Sevii islands in Fire Red and Leaf Green.
