I'd be very surprised if this wasn't a Vestel telly tbh at this price.

YEP ... A Vestel, been on the market for ages, BAD reviews and NOT a true Panasonic. Prices on a decent 4K have dropped that much that it seems they just can't sell these anymore.

I am a current owner of a TX-48CX400B, so respond to this comment with any questions about the TV that you can't find answers to and I'll do my best to answer!
Keep in mind that for an entry-level 4K TV, this is a really good deal. I haven't had any issues with it so far, excepting that the only HDMI port which supports ARC is HDMI 3, and this is not clearly stated. All HDMI ports support 4K input, with HDMI 2.0 including [email protected] For Xbox One S owners, this TV ticks all the boxes except HDR; yes, you heard me, this even includes the 10-bit panel boxes. As smart TVs go, this is probably one of the dumbest smart TVs on the market. As apps go, only Netflix and YouTube work well, both supporting 4K content. The browser is useless. But DLNA works nicely if you have a media server (personally, I use PS3 Media Server and the TV has no issues playing mkv files, including AAC or DTS audio tracks). TV also supports HDMI-CEC, which is handy if you like using one remote for everything. The reason I chose this TV was because I wanted a cheap 4K TV and I knew I would use the Smart features on my other peripherals, so do not buy this TV if you think you are buying a smart TV.
I'm really pleased with the quality of the picture for DVDs/BluRays, YouTube 4K, Netflix 1080p (I don't have a 4K subscription), and gaming with the Xbox 360 and Xbox One S. Freeview HD is noticeably better than the SD equivalent channels, but they do not look fantastic. For gaming, the TV must be set to the "Gaming" picture mode or the lag is unbearable.
And yes, this is a Vestel. I was told once that Vestels are identifiable by a '0' at the end of the model number, but I can't say for sure that this is true. Might be worth keeping in mind or checking though.
That's all for now folks, but ask any questions you like about the TV and I'll do my best to respond.

if this TV is cheaper on Amazon, then this isn't a particularly good deal.

It's a Vestel but the 3d isn't bad and netflix/iplayer on it is quite fast, no big delays while it thinks. It does good HD/4K pictures but SD can be very poor.

We have this and our screen cuts out constantly. Don't bother. Pain in the ****.

This was one main gripe in the reviews I read when I was looking for a new telly, switches itself off for no reason. Loads of manufacturer refurbs out there which, it seems, have been sent back to Panachronic to have this problem fixed. Maybe better to buy a refurb than new.

With tv's don't go on price alone but try and grab a review of it. 4k TVs have to be decenit, mainly because of their upscalers from sd, hd to 4k ..

Simply go to your local Currys and look at it side by side with a decent HD TV. Then ask yourself WHY it is cheap. I did and bought a Sony HD, far superior picture quality.
