Terrible stick. Doesn't allow files over 4GB, very slow even on USB3, overheats

FAT/FAT32 won't allow files over 4Gb, so try reformatting it to NTFS, which will take care of this problem at least.

Faster than any other stick below £20... maybe Verbatim one posted earlier today is better ???

Crossbow is correct. When you format it, you need to select either NTFS or exFAT. The 4GB is a limitation all USB sticks and hard disks will encounter if they are formatted as FAT32.
Speed wise, both mine reach 60-70 MB/s write speed which is pretty good. There has been other people who say theirs are slow so I don't know if its certain USB 3.0 chipsets or its a lottery to which version of this you get. The original version was pretty slow.
The only downside to these is they are undetected on 1 of my cheap Chinese USB 3.0 card ports and it is also not detected by my Game USB 3.0 powered hub.

How on earth did I miss that... I know about the limitations on FAT/FAT32 and didn't even think to check

It's called aging :stuck_out_tongue:
I'm sure I remembered stuff much better just a year ago.

All 3 of mine top out at 25MBps for read and write but they are more reliable that the faster Grixx.

I've bought two of these in the past which I use for storing and playing large .mkv (6GB+) files and I'm very pleased with the performance.
