This has crashed my PC over 15 times since o upgraded. Don't think it's only me what is having problems. Love the new layout of Windows 10 bits it's so unstable even with the new updates.

Ive had windows 10 for a while now and no crashes at all.
Had it installed on an old motherboard with no manufacturer win10 support no problems.
Also on my laptop which is running fine.

4 tablets, 4 laptops, 3 desktops here and not a single problem, some through fresh installs, some through upgrades from 7 or 8/8.1, my experience has been totally seamless. I had a Mac, and a single software update buggered up the DVD requiring major editing of files on the system, not for the faint hearted, considering how Apple can't manage to make updates work with probably less than 100 different configurations, it's quite amazing MS can manage to install ok on 99% of the different systems out there.

You should do a fresh install after the update as your installing a new os on top of probably an old poorly running system, 99% of the time this fixes issues,

The only problems I've ever had with Windows 10 is the activating from fresh using a Windows 7 key (and yes you can do it) also driver updates for some older GPU's other than that it's been great.
Not one crash (other than GPU's having a meltdown)

If you've put win 10 on before the offer ended you can still get it, it shows there end so contact Microsoft via online chat. they told me over a week ago because if you've rolled back check your getting window updates as it screws it up, I've had 1 guy fix them on a pc in 10 mins but a laptop took 7 techs on line 15hrs+ on remote access. and after 18hrs Saturday downloaded and installed them. ps this laptop staying on 7 now.

I upgraded to Windows 10 and everything went fine. I then allowed it to run Windows Update. Upon reboot I can't get into Win10. It looks like it installed a wonky driver. No recovery option on the disk seems to affect it: no System Restore point yet, no backup yet and no F8 to get into Safe Mode :disappointed:

Upgrade installations are always more prone to issues - particularly because the file partitions can be all over the place. Always best to do a clean install when moving to a new OS.

Did a fresh install of 10 on a new machine, took the 7 key off a dead laptop and activated with that.
Did this a week ago, after the final date that Microsoft announced.
If you have any old licences for 7 or 8, these should still work provided they have not been used for 10 in the past.
You can decommission a 10 machine, but it's not an easy task.

Ive had Windows 10 running on 7 machines, not a single issue on any of them, its the best Windows yet in my opinion

Windows 10 works fine on my boyfriend' s machine but rendered my SD card slot, mic and headphone jacks useless even after hunting down and reinstalling/updating all drivers. It really irritates me but otherwise it works perfectly, though I also detest not being able to rearrange the all apps menu!
Just Wondering

I like windows 10 , works great in general , but perhaps I have fairly modern-ish PC hardware in my 2 desktops !
