Don't forget to also use promo code ukwelcome10, to take the price all the way down to £79.01. It is also worth mentioning that using the 2 codes on the 16GB storage/2GB RAM version makes it only £109.01, well worth considering.

The only people who think it's "perfectly adequate" are the mugs who just spent £90 on one and are trying to justify the bad purchase in their own minds when they could have got significantly better for less money.

So far I'm happy with the phone

I've just managed to order the 16gb- not all the back cover colours are available, but that's not a bad thing as it made me resist the pink (went for the purple). Also the accent wasn't in stock in metallic silver so I just went for black. Both vouchers still worked so it was 109.09, happy with that!

Thats not a UK retailer though.
" Free Shipping to United Kingdom via AliExpress Standard Shipping

No sale of goods act, no returns, etc. $120 is more like £90+, depending on what card you use to pay. Plus possibility of customs VAT... Better off with the wileyfox swift i recon.
That's a tad extreme.
There aren't any 2GB/16GB phones under £90 (From a known brand / UK retailer)

I bought one, 8gb of storage is perfectly adequate and is fine with Marshmallow formatting, and good luck finding a 4g phone with equivalent spec for £89 with a warranty.
+EDIT+ Irrelevant anyway, it has been out of stock since saturday am.

They were a decent enough budget phone when they were first introduced 3 years ago, but the entire market has moved on since then. Selling a 1gb/8gb phone for £90 in 2016 is nothing short of ripping people off....

£86 for the 2gb/16gb version. Reliable seller as well (HK Goldway):
That's a lot more expensive, especially if you're buying from a UK retailer.

Agreed, it's becoming increasingly annoying to manage the storage on my Moto G 2nd Gen, and as apps get more bloated they are constantly force-closing due to low memory conditions, eg: I can no longer play my music while using the sat nav, which is a big pain. 1GB/8GB really isn't enough any more.

29 Aug 161#30
The SD card will not store or operate a lot of apps in Marshmallow Andropid 6 despite claims it does!
You still need internal memory. Minimum requirements if you are running a lot of apps is 2GB Ram and 16GB internal memory.
8GB was adequate a couple of years ago but not today with the latest apps
Spend more and get the MOTO G4 about £150

For this posting that 8gb is enough stop your nonsense please. I have customers in my store everyday with the issue of running out of space on their phone. Regular people who just use their device normally. Stop buying 8gb phones, 16gb should be the minimum you consider.

Bought 8gb version for the wife. No games on it. Just BBC, Facebook, Kindle App, Watsapp and Google Drive and the thing is unusable. It keeps running out of storage no matter how much you move the stuff to the SD card or Google Drive. Niece took it home and wiped everything clean off it just to do a system update. I wouldn't touch the bloody thing because I am fed up of wasting hours trying to reclaim a few megabites of storage space. Lovely phone, does everything and more but 8 GB version is rubbish. Your photos and received messages etc would fill it up in no time.
PS. I haven't voted it cold. Would buy the 16gb version without hesitation.

Alasdair91
29 Aug 162#21
Word of warning, do not buy the 8GB version - you will forever be deleting things, clearing the cache or wiping your phone! Especially after the 6.0.1 update. Phones with 8GB storage, which is actually just 5GB for the user, should not be allowed in 2016-17...
And having an SD card makes no difference - the internal storage will still fill up over time and slow your phone to a grinding halt.
Gollywood to Alasdair91

They should be allowed if they are sensibly priced like 02 - £69 or Vodafone - £79
Where the MotoG lacks in memory/storage, it makes up in build quality, ease of use etc

I have this phone already, it's really good. Many people think it looks like an iPhone 6 because it is the same size. It has nice features such as if you twist the phone it will turn the camera on. The camera is good quality especially for an android phone. I'm paying around £15 a month for this phone on tesco mobile so I think it's definitely worth it.
