Been using this for 2 years without any issues. Purchased through Amazon for £100, but this is an excellent price. Now my LO is a toddler I kind of wish I had the Maxi Cosi Axiss .... would make car seat tantrums easier!

Hated this seat, but I also hate the axiss. Still, voted hot because this is a good price for it

Slightly offtopic I know - apologies for that.
My DD is now 6 months and is almost about to outgrow her pebble - I am wondering if a 1-2-3 car seat isn't the best bet for her - any suggestions?

The pebble has a max weight limit of 13kg? Both my kids were almost 18 months til they were at this weight limit. A 1-2-3 is definitely not the right next seat. Your child should be rear-facing as long as possible, particularly under age 4 when is much safer.

as others have said you're best off keeping her in infant carrier until she's actually outgrown it... at 6 months you'll have months of use left in the pebble.
If you're sure you want a group 123 seat then look at the diono radian or joie every stage - both will rear face until 18kg (average 4 yr old weight) and can then be turned forward facing and used as a high backed booster

123 I don't think have any recline (I may be mistaken though) so if Ur lo sleeps a lot in the car it isn't agood idea as their heads flop forwards joie do ones which go up to 2 and I think 3

Go to a decent retailer and they will confirm if your DD has really out grown the pebble (based on height &/or weight).
Might be worth calling a few of them and checking when the appropriately trained person is working, as I found it very hit and miss even at the likes of Mothercare/ToysRUs. Most staff didn't convey any confidence and I found there was generally one "expert" per store who actually knew their stuff.
Alternatively take a few pics of DD in the seat and email Maxi-Cosi, I've heard they are very helpful.
If DD really has outgrown the pebble either a retailer/Maxi-Cosi will recommend the next seat. Which will certainly be a rear facing one and not a 1-2-3.

6 months if far too young to go into a stage 1 seat. forward facing. they only grow out of the seats when there head is above the top of the seat. if she has grew out of it I wud Defo get a extended rear facing seat

Thanks all for your suggestions - so it does seem my limited understanding of car seats was misplaced - thanks again for correcting me on that - peace of mind for now  no new seats needed just yet.
Opening post
Worked out a good deal for me!
Cheapest I seen elsewhere is £160!
