I've just switched to this
I know the MVNO companies can be a nightmare at times with customer service, but this one has been bought by its own network (EE) and is now run by them and I've been very pleased. I called to port in my number, and waited 3 minutes to reach a real person, and 48 hours for the port to take effect.
During my research, I saw a few great deals on U-Switch for LIFE, but this one beats the lot if you're a high user. From my own experience, the coverage is exactly as EE 3G network so no 'restricted access'.
I hope it helps a few of you (probably ideal for the kids!!)
You know what - thats a shed-load cheaper than the basic charge for a landline into your house!

I don't know why people are so snobby about 3g.
When I was with '3' I bought a new 4g phone to benefit from the so called 4g speeds but upon doing a speed test between the 3g & 4g there was very little difference because a lot of people around my area must also be on 4g and using all the masts bandwidth.
Plus for internet browsing 3g is well fast enough and if you want to stream movies these low data allowances would soon be eaten up.

I'm glad you enjoyed it, hopefully you've also learnt something by reading it!

Because for your average mobile phone handset, in practical terms 4G speeds are somewhat unnoticeably faster that 3G. Also, this deal provides a very fast speed anyway, better coverage, and absolutely loads more for less money. There is not a 4G deal that comes close to this. ID are the closest but, if you've tried them you won't use it as an argument!

When I was on life mobile, full bars 3G struggled to load webpages and definitely could not stream music or video. Wouldn't recommend this if you're a power user

If you are a power user then don't be stingy and dig a little deeper in your pockets for the service you demand.

3g with Life mobile (avg. 10 mbs) is faster than 4G from o2 (avg. 3 mbs ),three (about 7 mbs) and vodafone (2mbs).

I concur. 7mbps on my son's life mobile. Faster than my broadband before I changed to fibre! Customer services are extremely pleasant and helpful.

The real advantage of LTE is reduced latency - most of the time 3G/HSPA+ will have enough download speed for most people, but it's the far quicker 'response' of LTE from which you really reap the benefits. It feels much more like a WiFi connection, and is in theory good enough for reliable tethered online gaming. This IS still a good deal for the right user though.

Already posted a month ago by me. Speaking from my experience you won't be on this tho. On welcome letter it will state 4000 mins unlimited text and 4 gb data. Also did you get your £16.80 from top cash back like I did?

Ah, didn't spot your post, and now that I've looked back in can see another too!
Oh well, hope it helps someone anyway.
Didn't use the cash back, I've never used them. Too lazy!
I am looking at my online account and it says i have over 5Gb remaining so Ii must be getting 6Gb right? I've yet to get a proper bill so I don't know what I'll be posting because despite it saying £13.45 during the application, the confirmation email said £8.65 so they messed up somewhere. We shall see.
Despite what others say about 3g, I have a Sony Z5 and comparing it with my pals identical phone which is on Hutchinson 3, on a 4g contact, there VB is minimal difference so I'm quite happy. Streaming YouTube and the like is perfect.
