Handy if you have a low storage laptop/tablet and you need more local storage space - this is also assuming you have a full size USB port to connect to it on the tablet side.

I'm assuming because you added £1.01 worth of other goods to your basket so you met the £20 free delivery minimum?
@OP - good price for good usb stick.

Do these get super hot and burn out like the Sandisk drives?

I have heard a few stories about these type of drives overheating such as the Sandisk ones. The Lexar JumpDrive does seem to do this according to the reviews.

I think they overheat in USB3 sockets but not in USB2 ones...well, they get hot anyway, not sure the manufacturer would call it overheating.

I have two of the Sandisk Ultrafits. One get hot during use. The other one is just off the scale. I can feel the heat emanating from the side of the laptop. Take it out of the socket and touch the metal and it's hot enough to burn. Just ridiculous.

Agreed, and can't be good for the life of the device.

Probably not good for the laptop either. But its really the extra heat generated that puts me off. It's almost as hot as the bottom of the laptop where the CPU is located. I originally thought it was an internet myth but there's definitely something wrong with those drives in terms of heat output. It gets hot even when you're using it for read/writes.
