LEERDAMMER ® is a cheese made from cow's milk. Our cheeses are aged for five weeks. It is during this maturation phase that the holes form in the cheese, due to a special type of lactic ferments. These ferments are present in the whole cheese, and produce gases as they develop.

So, this is not only a damaged stock, it is also full of gas. What's next - beer with live yeast inside?

Leerdammer - Imagine all those dykes and windmills that Holland is so famous for... Except it is manufactured in France
