I've bought a couple of these, one for the missus' car, one for mine.
I like the idea of rear-facing up to 18kg (approx. four years) as it is inherently safer for wee'ns in the event of frontal crashes.
They are also front-facing if you prefer, with a three position recline in that mode.
Anyway, I managed to get one on sale for £70 at Littlewoods (though I only paid £20 as I had a £50 voucher) but they've gone up to £90.
Then I spotted these at Argos and got my second one yesterday.
Decent deal I think and much cheaper than Amazon where they are about £85 upwards.

Actually its perfectly placed as it has a warning you need to be reminded of. Our graco has the same. Its by design.

I bought the same one from boots last week was £70 but got a code from here for 15% off so came up just under £60 plus I got all the points too. Great price for a good car seat.:smile:

I think it is TECHC15 - that should take it to £59.50 plus Boots points. That's an even better deal than this one, assuming the code is accepted.

How does this compare with the joie stages does anyone know? I know the stages lasts a little longer but are there many other design differences? Ty :smiley:

I've been after something like this as my little boy is almost out of his first car seat and I don't want him forward facing yet as he's only 9 months (but very large for his age). Is this the best option ie good for safety and also reasonably priced? Thanks x

Rear facing is better, the isofix ones if you have isofix can be easier to get baby in and out because the car's shoulder belt isn't in the way as it tends to be with the belt fixing ones. Though isofix is usually a lot more expensive than the belt fitted ones.

Britax do a first class plus seat too that can be installed rearfacing until baby is 13kg / approx 18 months depends if your baby is big as in tall it would be fine if he isn't coming out of the baby seat for weight reasons. I know it doesn't take him rear facing until the age of 4 but in the meantime it is a solid seat from a well established brand. You can turn it around forward facing when he is older or by then the price of the main stream branded rear facing toddler seats will probably have dropped anyway.

thanks very much for that, i've been totally baffled by all the different ones available! I think this looks like a good option for us as we don't have isofix and already have bought a forward facing seat that will be suitable until they no longer need one
