I think this is a good price if you just want a laptop for browsing, i7 is a little outdated now but should still run chrome / other tasks very well.
768p screen but hey, still good for the price.

This seems to be good value considering the condition (Grade 2 Refurbished Good - Showing minor signs of use, the odd mark, scratch, buff to be expected) and the 12months warranty. If you're looking for a laptop with a smaller screen (this one is 12.5") then I'd say this is a good buy.

Stick a ssd in there and this laptop would be great

The i7 is still a very capable CPU despite it's age, with AMD not being very competitive, Intel have been a bit lax in terms pushing CPU performance, I'd say since the 2000 series release, each generation has seen a 10% leap in performance.
Unless we seea big leap in performance from the ZEN architecture from AMD I expect this to continue for the forseeable future.

Hilarious, well done OP, most obvious statement of the century done to perfection.

I bought the i5 version a while back and with an SSD it is a great laptop. Port replicator was £6 from eBay and transforms it into a useful desktop machine. It can get a bit noisy when giving it something that keeps the processors busy.

Agreed, a great little lappy. Bought the i7 last year (refubished) with an SSD and works very well, solid and performs well indeed. It does run very hot though as does my i5 one I also run for work. Very solid and able to handle a few knocks. I paid about £130 if I remember at the time last year.
