Voice remote is great. The voice remote is included and is slightly better than the one with the Nvidia Shield and the Fire TV.
Runs Android TV OS. have updated mine to the Android TV Beta 7.0
bargain and highly recommend

Anyone know if these are capable of x265? Looks promising but would love to know how they compare to the s905/s905x 2gb models.
Anyone know?

these should run better. it's Android TV vs full Android. it's the same OS as the Nvidia Sheild. can also buy the controller for 29.99 on eBay for games. under Asus Nexus controller.

any Bluetooth controller will work. I even use a otg USB -> SNES adapter -> original SNES controllers. I do have the Asus controller and found it pairs with other devices.

It is not same as nvidia shield. Shield has far superior specs and 4k and hdmi 2.0 output. This was state of art once, now 4-5 yrs old with poor specs.

Not really great, Android TV is slowly dying and add in the better boxes that can be bought for half this price makes this a no go.
Sorry.

I'd disagree with that. none of these cheep boxes have Android 7 support like this. if google were abandoning this they would not be releasing a big update for it. there is a new nexus player imminent and a new Nvidia shield

I said slowly dying, i am not knocking the system but it just isn't up to the task like the rest of them for the price. Android 7 wont make this any better than what you can already get on the market for the same or less.

There's a new Nvidia Shield TV coming out?

Except this will do Netflix HD unlike the bargain basement android boxes. And a few other things besides. Sorely tempted to replace the fire stick.

This won't do Netflix 4k because it does not have hdmi 2.0 or hevc. Only 1gb ram. Old model. 4k needs hardware to be able to support it. Better buy nvidia shield tv if you want to run 4k.

What else is better for the price?
these cheep boxes and sticks that can get from China for half the price are unreliable. the remotes don't do voice recognition or work with integrated OS like Android TV.
Spec wise yes there are better for less. but this is reliable. It will receive updates unlike the cheep boxes. I also bought a Madcatz Mojo box prior this that did support 4k. But support had been dropped so no OTA updates. had to root and install custom roms.
The Fire OS is locked down on fire sticks. they are limited and only really good if have prime and want to use for Kodi. These have got to be the best and most reliable for the pricd
Opening post
they are great
No 4k tho. Has only 8GB storage which is not expandable unless you connect a USB OTG device or adaptor
Specs. Intel Quad core. 1GB DDR3 ram. 8GB storage.
Runs Kodi Builds great.
