I think we are in danger of missing the point here.
This ring has a tiny image of Jabba the Hut's scowling face as a central part of the design.
Surely that is more precious than gold?

to all those who have purchased this ring well done for realising it's just a symbol and you can use that money you didn't waste on an expensive outward show of affection and put it towards your first caravan or something :-)

Just buy what you can afford for now. You can always upgrade the ring
when you're feeling better off. OR.. you can justify the cheap ring and dump the other half
