Never heard of Scan. Looked them up on companies house and they have more than 200 employees. How is their CS?

i have used scan for years and built about 5 systems over the years and exchanges and stuff ahve never been an issue and most of the staff are very helpful,but i have never ordered online as im local to them so i cant vouch for there online

More on topic rather than the retailer... I would avoid this PSU and get something better.

Just built myself a PC with components sourced from Scan.
I've been using them for years and have never had a problem.
There are ways of getting free delivery too.

Jonnyguru is generally best for PSU reviews. Gives info on OEM and a decent teardown.

erm, scan have been around for years, one of the main suppliers of computer components in this country....:confused:

A lot of online reviewers go for the Corsair CX range, like TTL on OC3D.. or the CM range..... or something

This is only good if you can pick it up. i get it at aroung 56 delivered, if adding something to pass 50 there are other charges added. Better get it on amazon, get better warranty and service, also prime available.

I've been using the gold rated version of this psu in a system for well over a year now. Very happy with the performance and very quiet for the price. I believe this is semi-modular like mine (looking at specs this seems to be the case) If so, the atx cable is poorly sleeved and the coloured wires are clearly visible, if you care about that sort of thing. Not a deal breaker though. Heat added

Title should read Hybrid modular, good deal none the less, looks to be about £10 off retail, heat added.

The product on the scan site literally says hybrid modular.
