yes saw it at a local ASDA for similar price a week or two ago. All branches might be discounting when stocks are low i guess to clear shelves

I have had it for a year and use it occasionally. It's a good blender but a bit small if using it for calorie dense shakes.

These are a great option if you are considering buying one of thee more expensive ones but are not quite sure if you will use it. I bought one 4 or 5 months ago and researched different ingredients for a healthy option and now use it almost daily, giving me a good range of fruit, greens and healthy liquids (I use spinach and coconut water quite a lot, although the water is expensive).
Use frozen fruits from supermarkets, as they are grown from the right season and also believe it or not much cheaper. Always put a base liquid in the mix else it is just pulp, as said I use coconut water, but normal water can be used (not the best taste), and for ease/cost you can use skimmed milk for a really nice smoothie.
The power on this one is the downside, it certainly manages to blend all the frozens, but you can feel at times the struggle and you have to constantly keep shaking it to get the mix down to the blade. Its certainly not a deal breaker, but it is probably the reason why you would look at more expensive versions. I am certainly thinking about upgrading now that I know I will use it.
Hope this helps.... oh and £17 is cheap, I paid £22.00, but when I bought mine they were around £19 on Amazon.
