it's weird how uninformed this thread is. every psvr demonstration has been on a standard ps4 and people are impressed, saying it sits between the rift and vive.

currently, confirmed use of the ps4 pro for vr has been mentioned by the developers of farpoint. they will use it to do supersampling ( render at a higher resolution then downscale to the psvr's native resolution. this is basically a brute force method of antialiasing.)

the batman experience is just that. it's around 1-2 hours long.

Trust me if it's that cheap on the store it's not a proper game.

It's £15.99 at Game online now and I just pre-ordered a code for £15.99 from Amazon.

I played it at Gamescom, the batcave bit is fun and looks good but not sure I'd replay it. Sort of thing you'd give to a friend to experience. The detective bit is interesting but I hope there's more cases to come. Felt like I'd mostly finished it in 20 mins.

And re. the PS4 Pro - I was a bit disappointed with how Batman looked on the VR on a PS4, more so Farpoint. It's lower resolution that you might expect, doesn't look HD. Farpoint in particular has bad textures. But it's certainly very immersive, and that's what you want from VR.

I have checked the retailers pages a few times to see if the prices have dropped at all, on the most part the answer is no but Game has. They now have it listed for £19.99 (so still cheaper on the PlayStation store) and it looks like that is for a digital copy and not one on disk.

​Well the tech used in the ps4 hasn't changed, you will only get graphical improvement with different components in the console so it's still highly relevant, don't get me wrong, I will be getting psvr but maybe when the neo is out

a low price would make sense for digital download bearing in mind the Sony vr headset is more than a console maybe a few carrots to tempt people to buying the hardware Sony have sunk alot of money into R&D for project morpheus so they can't afford for it to be a turkey look at what happened to with the Wii U

I was able to try the Vives underwater demo at a recent games conference in Aberdeen, before I tried the 3 minute demo I thought I wouldn't last more than an hour. After it the pain had halfed and I was there about 7 hours in the end, granted it took a lot out of me (and about a week to get my back to settle to the usual pain levels). However it did help me realise what could be possible from a VR set up at home. I am planning on writing about it and exploring the positive relationship between video games and pain management on my blog painandgame.blogspot.co.uk at some point best the end of October. If you would be interested in finding out how I get on with it after the PSVR comes out, drop by the blog then and thanks moneysavingkitten, I am sure it will.

Not in my opinion it isn't, I've tried it on a normal PS4. Just don't expect the graphics to look quite as polish as PS4 on an HD TV.

Need the neo though apparently, psvr is supposed to be pretty shoddy on the normal ps4, hence they have rusher the neo out

Personally I am (well if I can get the funds together which is questionable) getting VR not to get the latest gaming gadget... but to do more physically. I live with extreme pain every second of every single day, immersive gaming helps which is why VR interested me. I am not looking to spend 100's of hours playing VR games, rather the opposite... a quick immersive experience which will distract my brain from the pain signals and in turn reduce the pain to allow to do more with my family. Yeah a good game which is value for money is important but VR represents so much more than that for me.

No they won't, this has been confirmed as a $20 game in the US too.

There is a fine line for sure, I really do hope that they have done this properly and not just thought the fact it is a VR for a home console is going to be enough. I am looking forward to it for the reasons I mentioned above but to have some great gaming experiences would be the icing on the cake, fingers crossed

I think some of the experiences like this, VR worlds etc are not being shown much, not because it is a reflection of them but rather to not spoil the immersive experience when you use it cos you have seen it all already, could be wrong... but as long as it lives up to the Vive demo I tried it will give me what I need out of it

I saw IGN and GameSpot talking about this and both seemed like paid for adverts. All they really did was praise PSVR constantly. I can't remember what sorts of things they said but I remember it seemed like they were just advertising PSVR for Sony.

Oh I remember one of those two videos also cut to a bunch of people just saying how amazing PSVR is too. lol.

I've seen the access video already. I've also got PSVR on pre-order (have done since march) alongside a couple of the games and I'm very much looking forward to it, including batman. That being said...GBP 55.00 for a 1.5 hour ''experience''....I don't believe that's the retailers r.r.p at all. Rekon it's physical release will be 20 bucks tops. Witcher 3 with VR, I'd probably pay 60 quid for that. 15.99 is more like it for these short VR experience games (like Until Dawn, VR worlds, star wars etc) and tbh I can see a lot of these being about 9.99 come xmas which is great also.

Kinda torn between PSVR and Vive (can't afford both unfortunately) but gonna try out PSVR regardless and see what its all about. Kinda want to keep it for all the ps exclusive VR titles that may come out in future.

I've preordered. I'm dead excited for PSVR, can't wait to play it. Obviously it could be a huge success of another flop like Kinect/Vita. Hopefully this does receive the support it deserves, if the big hitters of the industry (PlayStation, Microsoft and PC) all support VR I think it has a great chance of becoming a big thing! Roll on October!

Before anyone uses the Oh it's a technical demo only description... Go and look up playstation access on YouTube, they tested it a gamescomm last week and said it's amazing! I'll definitely be trying it

Described as "an experience" not a game. Supposed to be about 90 minutes long! If that's the case then it's overpriced at £15.99 let alone the prices retailers have it for. Shopto are full of crap if they say the rrp is £55, been confirmed as a budget release.

Really? That shocks me, it's supposed to be quite a short game. £55 is a lot for any title. RIGS started off at that price when it was first listed and it's now £40 on Amazon and Tesco.

I don't think those prices will be the final prices at those shops. I think they are placeholders much like the artwork. But heat added anyway because it's by far the best price :smiley:
