Or tell him to grow up commenting their own foolish opinions on a current age demographic within a discount alert website.
Oh wait.

I was building this specification in a system for someone a few weeks ago and I was unable to buy the parts individually so ordered this instead. When it arrived it had a corsair vs550 PSU inside rather than the 450W as advertised which was a bonus. The hard drive was a Toshiba rather than the advertised seagate but I've not got any issues with that. For anyone who is wondering the GTX1060 is the Zotac mini version. I'd recommend this system and the seller, hot deal! :sunglasses:

Easily enough for this system. Can't remember the last time I used a psu over 500w for a build

450w is fine for a single GPU build...long as it's a decent psu

My 13 year old son is driving me crazy asking for a gaming pc. He's just wanting to play bits of games and record for youtube, chat to his friends. He has a laptop a few years old and it can't be powerful enough as it's lagging when he's playing games/recording. Can anyone recommend anything please? A few of his mates have had them built by people their parents know but I don't know anyone :-(

PC Specialist is a good start for desktop builds.. But you will be paying a bit more than building it yourself.
My advice, find out exactly from your son, what he wants to play on it, write down the game names, ask what his friends are playing.. work out what your budget is but bear in mind you won't get change from £400-£500 for a budget build with Keyboard, Mouse & Monitor (speakers? headset?), and then start an ASK thread with all the info.

Check out r/buildapc on reddit. Have a look through other builds, check out their guides and you will make your son very happy.

Yo you really don't need much for a 13yr old who wants to do PC gaming. Consider a cheap gaming laptop, and Alienware alpha( wait for when they have a build on) or a ready made second hand PC, look for something like a gtx 660/ 750/750ti which will be plenty, can be picked up with the rest of the build for like 200

1060 6gb 4k VR ready, yea ok

It is according to nvidea. The 970 was the lower limit for VR. The 1060 6gb matches that easily.
