Simple, these are traditional taps for a traditional look plus most who buy them now are replacing taps.
This is why I am voting cold, for the cost £12 it is not that much cheaper than the plumb shop versions and its chrome plated, so likely to corrode earlier. More importantly the inside is likely poor quality and the washers likely to go. So unless it is a direct replacement and you love the looks I don't think it is a good buy.
I maybe wrong but definitely would not buy. Can someone who has brought this exact tap confirm if it is a cheap rubber washer or dodgy ceramic mechanism. Is the retaining/fixing large nut, made of metal or cheap plastic and are there also rubber washers to stop leaking on fixation or do you need to add silicone

If you have stored water and a gravity fed system you'll get much better flow through two separate taps than through a monobloc tap. Also if the basin is a white two tap hole type why change it?
By the looks of the Argos photo it's a very steamy bathroom!

The questions above are because what is supplied does not necessarily look like the pictures given that it is Argos. I have seen people buy ceramic disc taps only to find on opening it up it is not what a plumber would call ceramic discs. The description states copper tails and fixings, does that include fixings for the copper tails? If it does that would be a bonus
What I do like about the taps are that it is a lever mechanism so it is really good for the Arthritic or elderly. Overall not bad and a similar price to Amazon, I retract my comment about being cold

Hello. Plumber here.
Few points.
Bath taps are a nightmare to change, even as a plumber. not so much fitting the new but removing the old if limited room. I advise to repair old taps rather than fit new. New tap bodies and heads are available the 9/10 just screw in from the top into the existing tap/spout.
These probably won't match the basin.
These will be standard 3/4 inch thread. These have 1/4 turn ceramic discs.
I dont have a problem with plastic nuts and a blob of silicone never did any harm.

Every tap is chrome plated, they're all made of brass internally (or increasingly copper tube and a thin section of brass).
If you can't get the old taps off just keep twisting it from above and it will work loose enough to undo.
I always re-use brass back nuts if they are coming off the old tap, much easier to tighten the tap so it will never come loose rather than use the crap plastic ones supplied. When fitting angle the tap at 90deg clockwise past the proper position, once it's tight knock it round to give an extra quarter of a turn on the back nut.
I would still rather use tap revivers than fit new taps.
