I used to love Archos. I bought an MP4 player from them like 15 years ago when hardly any manufacturer was making them and was playing movies downloaded onto it. It really was ahead of it's time

There are numerous chinese mobile phones on the market right now with similar hardware to the Archos. But the hardware spec is only half the story. Where things go wrong with some of the Chinese cheapies is in the lack of Quality Control in the integration of the hardware and software to provide a first class customer experience. Equally important is on-going support including future updates and unfortunately Archos does not have a good track record in this respect.
I would need to see a full review of the Diamond 2 Plus from a trusted source before splashing the cash. Even assuming a decent review, the Motorola G4 is still tempting because Motorola in common with Samsung and Apple etc demand exacting deliverables from their suppliers, as well as having a stringent QC process prior to releasing a product to the market. As for the Archos, it's fingers crossed....

Is this the same phone that Argos will be selling as Bush branded that was on here last week?

Going from previous experience Archos are notorious for not updating firmware on their devices, also the build quality isn't as good as it use to be.

If I needed a phone now on a £200 budget, this would be top of the list.
Any other brand new UK-sourced phone with similar specs for the money?
