Just released today. Another option. I am still holding for Xmas price drop or Oct AMD new release.
The GTX1060 3GB actually has a cut down core over the GTX1060 6GB with 10% less shaders.

And something which should be written in big flashing letters above each one is that you're not only getting half the VRAM, but less CUDA cores too - 1152 versus the 1280 of the 6GB model. No doubt more than a few uninformed people will purchase the 3GB model thinking that they're getting a full GTX 1060. That's Nvidia's plan after all.

Absolutely. Even 1080p is going to be using over 3GB nowadays.

for the sake of an extra £35 the 6gb version surely is more future proofed and worth the investment

Wow. Dirtiest Nvidia trick yet?! I was just looking at this thinking it's amazing value if it's up against the 480 at around £200

Yes I think so. Strangely enough I can't find any reviews yet whereas with the full 6GB GTX 1060 there were so many reviews it was hard to keep track of them

Are there any reviews on the 3gb model yet? I haven't seen any and so I've no idea if this is a decent deal.
Actually not that bad I guess. But 3GB will mean turning some settings down in this year's games not next years.

You'd be lucky. Last Christmas, 970s fluctuated by no more than around 3% in price, which was due more to the Pound against the dollar than anything else. Just buy as soon as you can afford it.

There is a cut down in the CUDA cores -
3GB - 1152
6GB - 1280
so expect maybe 10% slower on performance

For around 20% less money, based on the prices on Overclockers. Seems like a good deal to me.
Based on today's prices I voted hot.
